Happy May Day!

Whew! I'm out of breath. It's May 1st already! I scurried around leaving your surprise May Day bouquet by your door.
This is just a sweet sentiment to keep the May Day traditions alive and well. It is a happy wish from me to you, dear family and friends, both near and far, that your Spring will be filled with happiness and joy.

This fine group of young men with their teachers are ready to ride the shuttle to the airport for an ALL EXPENSE paid trip to the World Championship Robotics Competition. The top 8 competitive teams at the State level were advanced to the World Championship. We hope their "robot" brings home a first place honor. This is truly an experience of a lifetime for these young high school students.

Hello Rachel, Hope your May day is going well! Your lilacs are beautiful, mine are still tight little buds. The month of May always brings such lovely goodies, warm weather, flowers and the beginning of outdoor porch living!!!! YEA!
I have been out on my porch lately with blankets on, love being out there in any weather really!
Loved your post today, it lifted my spirits...you always do!

Thank you Rachel! I remember this tradition; Mom use to cut her 'bridle wreath's' bush for us to drop sprigs at our neighbors' doors. Yours is just beautiful, is that purple hyacinths in it or lilacs?

Happy May Day to you! Did you ever have a 'May Pole' dance as a child? So much fun!
Hugs,
Liv

I think those teachers must be old fogies. Who ever heard of tucking your shirt in like that anyway? Why, those old men must be at least 40!!! Don't they know it's not cool to wear your shirt tucked in?
