My little daughter just loves this home. She wishes ours was painted like this...it isn't!
Though I would never have thought to use this combination of colors, they have put them together quite tastefully. This view is of the right side (in the picture above) of the home.

It still amazes me, each time I go somewhere, what makes people choose the place they live and the kind of home they live in. Some like them neat, and others are fine with cluttery. Some want their home to be different than it is, or live in a place other than where they are. And circumstances over which they have no control dictate that.
Above everything else, when my family and friends walk through the doors of our home, I want them to completely experience...feel, see, taste, sense and hear our unconditional love.

I'm with you. I love lots of different kinds of houses but I want mine to be comfortable and the kind that people immediately know there's love. Blessings.. Polly
I'm not particularly fond of the colors, but boy what a beautiful house! A dream house isn't it!
Are you planning on showing a new "porch" on your beautiful blog any soon? I just can't wait!
Have a happy week, my friend... it's always so good to see you at my house in the roses....
Blessings

What a wonderful blog! Laurie
What a nice thoughts! I hope people feel "love" when they come to my house, too! That is a really neat house...I would love to see the "inside" of the houses that you have shown! I'm sure they are beautiful! Have a great day...
What a wonderful site you have. I like the older homes.
You have given me an idea of what to do with a recent purchase of a large picture frame I found at Goodwill. I have yet to paint it.

By the cozy look of your blog, I'm sure they do feel that way whenever they walk through your front door!

That is a beautiful house. I may have picked different colors, but it is still beautiful!!!!!
Hi! You know, many of my Swedish readers havè not read "Red Robin" either, the writer Selma Lagerlöf was Swedish so they feel a bit ashamed, hi,hi. Selma Lagerlöf grew up in this beautiful house, but her family lost it when her father died, and they say thats why she started to write, just to be able to buy her beloved home back, and that she did! Anyway if you want to read more about her and see her house and wonderful garden you can visit this site : Marbacka.com (its translated to english)
Guess this goes well with your post, beautiful houses that makes one feel at home .o)))
Hugs
HI,
What a beautiful house, I sure would like to see all the houses you have posted, how fun it would to be able to go inside them all.
I do like my house neat and tidy, I want most of all, people to feel welcome and loved.
Have a wonderful day, Love you, Donnie
I definitely like my home to be somewhere that when you walk in the door you feel welcome and can sit back and relax. I don't like going into a house where you are too afraid to sit down for fear of messing something up - some houses seem just to be for show and you are not comfortable sitting in them.
Have agreat family Easter

You have succeeded!! We do completely experience...feel, see, taste, sense and hear your unconditional love when we walk through your doorway. Or talk to you on the phone, or read your blog! Thanks for being so sweet!
Love you! Esther
Lovely house with such a welcoming look. Love is definitely the best thing to fill a home with.

Now, those colors are different for the outside of a house! Very interesting!
I can see why your daughter loves that house. I imagine that some fun people must live there :)
That is a beautiful home! I probably would not be so bold with color myself...but do enjoy seeing others that are! Thanks for sharing!
