I'd just dropped our sons off at school.
My cell phone buzzed. My sister Esther, ~ "Have you heard?"
"NO!"
I called Philip!
"Have you heard?"
"NO!"
Immediately we were glued to the news.
Time seemed to stand still. Our hearts were broken.
I will always remember.
I will continue to live this moment with intention.
I will look toward the future.
Do you remember?
Love, Rachel

I remember. Sadly my ears heard what my heart didn't want to.
I won't forget.

I wrote my blog post today in response to yours.
Hi Rachel
This is such a sad day here in New York, I am not sure it gets any easier!
Oh yes, I remember.

I will always remember. It is engraved in my memory forever.
Hello girl..ohhhh I well remember that day...I was standing in the checkout line in the Lowe's garden center...I heard someone talking about a bombing in New York..terrorists...I drove home as quick as I could and found my hubby & my dad glued to the TV..we all three sat there..speechless...tears running down our faces..mouths wide open...me even covering my mouth to keep from screaming at times...I will never forget it...I just wantd to say thank you for all your prayers and uplifting for me & my family this past week...I do so appreciate it my friend!
Yes. Both my cousins were at The Pentagon and thank God they both turned out to be alright. I didn't hear from my cousin that is like a brother to me for three long days. Unfortunately, things will never be the same...

Rachel, I remember I had the news on very early in the morning. I saw live footage as there was a tiny bit of smoke coming from the first tower hit. They were calming talking and saying that, "apparently a small aircraft accidentally hit the building." I stood there watching in disbelief as the events took place right in front of me on the screen. It was earth shaking. Hugs, Kathi
