Autumn Leaves

I'm opening the door just a smidgen to autumn.
Each fall season, the first thing I do is hang a wreath on the front door. I usually do this the first of September. I guess it is just my way of acknowledging that change is on the way. In October we will carve a pumpkin and enjoy the beauty of the season during that month. However little princess and I did start singing Christmas music yesterday. There's never a dull moment here at "A Romantic Porch".
Make today be a wonderful day! Hug your kids...if they'll let you. Kiss your spouse. Change is always certain, but love can remain and grow.

Lovely post Rachael! I have always had such a hard time with change. Especuially leaving summer behind! But, I know I cant do a thing about it. Last year, I left my spring wreath up all year, lol! My way of rebelling I guess! But soon, I will make myself get the pink pumpkins out!

Hugs,
Amy

Hi Rachel :)

Wonderful post and the wreath is really cute. It's raining here today, so it finally feels a little more like fall ;)

Autumn is such a beautiful season in our part of the USA. I have seen a few glimpses of it coming. The leaves on our neighbor's tree, a few houses down, are turning colors. Even on our front tree, I see a little bit of color coming. Where has the summer gone? Our backyard is still beautiful and the baby bunny that has lived back there all summer, thanks to my feeding him carrots, has seemingly doubled in size. I just hope 'he' is not a 'she'. :~)

Love you,

Rachel, You have just inspired me. I'm so excited. I think I have been in "burn out" mode for so long that I have not looked forward to fall or begining of school for years! Now that I am home and my children are in school = eight ours alone. I actually have time to look a at a decorating magazine. I was crying last weekend, and I'm praising and thanking God for His goodness to me now. Now I am looking forward to enjoying the season and making it fun for my family. Bless you, Kathi

Sweet, cute and nicely said . My son just asked me today about never getting to watch a particular Christmas movie. I told him we save them for Christmas. One of the old Frosty ones. Wendy
