What Should I Do?

I have a recipe for homemade rolls that I simply love. My family loves them too. They wish I'd make them MORE often.
But what should I do? I don't have a recipe that I like for homemade loaves. Is there a difference between the recipe for rolls or loaves? They don't work the same for me it seems. I don't have a bread machine so that culinary option is out!
Then I thought, Ah Ha! You all would know. I'll ask my readers. I am sure you will be able to tell me a great loaf recipe. So send 'em on over and I'll get busy baking.
Love, Rachel

Have a fun day!

Oh Rachel,
It looks like your friends today (me included) can't help you so far. I'm a terrible baker - my hubby's the who bakes. I can say I love homemade rolls though ;) and I see you've got some flax seed there - which is wonderful!
Happy day (let us know what you do if you get a chance!).

Hi Rachel,
I looked at all the good ingredients. The flax seed, the whole wheat and honey you don't want a recipe of mine. The one I use to make was a friendship bread where you let the yeast and sugar and oil sit for a few days and then you would use the mix. It was a very yummy, yummy recipe and I used it to score brownie points at a new place of employment and they called me the bread lady. I will send it but prepare for the weight to come on lol. aw man now I want some bread!

I am the wrong person to ask! I love to bake, but I don't do it enough to be an expert. I would google it and try to find a good one.

Good luck! If you find one, please post pix and give us a review!

Hugs, Sharon

I love home made bread. My favorite is called grandma oatmeal bread. It is nice and moist and delicious. You can't beat the smell of homemade bread. If you would like the recipe please sent me an email.Carolyn

Seems like you have a lot of friends who just come by to sit on the porch but can't bake bread! LOL. I'm no help either. I always just pick a recipe from a Google search or a recipe book and use my bread maker. Wish I could help.

I bake my Mother's Rolls made with yeast but loaves don't rise well for me. Try searching online for a recipe.
Have a good weekend.

ooo, no....not me! I can't help you either. I just buy the frozen loafs, let them thaw, rise and cook and then grab the tub of butter, sit down with them all in front of me and think I have died and gone to heaven. Delicious!
I make biscuits 2 or 3 times a week but never loaves of bread.

Rachel, you should be able to make a loaf out of the same dough. How much yeast is in it? Call me, I will talk to you about this. I also can tell you some great sites to find healthy recipes. Try passionatehomemaking.com she has some wonderful healty recipes posted.

Dear Rachel, It seems that all or most of us are just like you; we wish we knew the secret. I would love to make perfect bread and perfect rolls, but I too, don't do it enough to do it right.

I recently came across a great blog called Mennonite Women Can Cook. I think I have the link along my side bar. If anyone can help it's these women. I think I will go over and ask for help too. Have a lovely day. You are such a sweetheart Rachel. Kathi
