Here at "A Romantic Porch" we're always busy. There's never a dull moment. Even the ponies are hard at work. Don't they look like they are devising a plan and taking orders from momma?
Forward...march...lets get this done. Come on ponies, help me check off the "To Do List"!

Aren't these ponies cute?

This has nothing to do with anything other than my curiosity. Do you cook with garlic? I usually don't, though a few days ago I bought a huge (in my opinion) bulb (?) of garlic. It was called elephant garlic and was advertised to be sweet. Sweet? Sweet garlic, I thought. It looked more like an onion, but indeed it had separate cloves. And I needed it for my project...well yes, project, salsa. So I'm still curious. Do very many people cook with garlic? Do you?

Have a wonderful day today and I hope you accomplish all you have planned to do.
Love, Rachel

What cute ponies! Since I had all boys, we never had cute scenes like that around our house. We had similar though with GI Joes and Star Wars toys all set up ready to have battles!

I love garlic, but I do not usually do fresh. I used the canned kind that is in a jar and keep it in the fridge. I don't like it really strong, but I do love to add it to a lot of my meals and it adds such wonderful flavor and smells!

Yes, I cook with garlic! I buy the big jar of canned garlic from Costco. It's... I dunno... maybe a quart... no probably bigger than that. All chopped up. I'm on my 2nd one. The first one lasted over a year, but it keeps in the 'fridge just fine. It is handy to use because you just dollop out a spoonful or however much you need and you don't have to get the icky smell all over your hands.

I cook with all kinds of spices and seasonings, and I buy the big containers whenever I can because they are usually much cheaper that way.

What cute pony scenes! And such a sweet little Pony Owner!

I do cook with garlic! But I just use the cloves, not bought in a jar, because I enjoy peeling and cutting it up. To me, that's part of the fun of cooking with garlic!

I don't touch the cut part of the clove and wash my hands with soap immediately, and the smell washes off. So that works for me!

Hope you have a wonderful day!

Love, Esther

Do you suppose the ponies are all backed up to the "barn door" trying to get away from the smell of the garlic?

Garlic is a staple at our house - both fresh and the refrigerated minced kind. I love the flavor that it adds to foods.
And then there's the question my husband will ask me when I come home from work often - "what did you eat for lunch? you smell like garlic". Except, I don't think that's a compliment from him! LOL!

The ponies are cute - Emilee use to have these when she was younger.

One of my daughters loved her little ponies! Thanks for the memory.
Garlic- yes I use it a lot. My family really likes the flavor it brings to dishes. Garlic is also considered a medicinal herb. It is great for supporting you immune system, cardio system, blood sugar, and lot of other good things.

Yes cooking with garlic is a must. It's not only make food taste good, but it good for you.
Fresh is the best. But if you don't have fresh use garlic power or bits.

Some people don't like fresh because your fingers get smelly, but the solution to that is, rubbing salt on your fingers or rubbing stainless steel.

Happy cooking
