The Week Ahead

Isn't the wick amazing on this candle? As the candle burned the soot collected at the top.
For those of you who many not see icicles very often. Here are a few. As the snow melts on the roof the water drips and freezes in these long pointy pieces of ice.
We've enjoyed a lot of snow and sleet this winter. But Spring is on its way!
We did not stay up to watch the lunar eclipse, but the moon was beautiful before it started. Many times in the past one of my sons and I have set the alarm and gotten up in the night to watch a phenomenon in the night sky. We usually have to get in the car and drive to get away from the lights of town to see.
Sometimes situations in life happen in the most unexpected ways. Burning candles make soot, dripping water in freezing temps makes icicles, snow and sleet fall from a winter sky, the sun and moon rises and sets, Spring comes! There is such an unpretentious rhythm in the cycle of life. So much goes unnoticed and time passes without thought.
Other things happen with deliberate action on our part. I have a list of things to do this week, however among those things, I will be deliberate to spend time with my children to let them know their interests are important to me. I will write my first grade teacher a letter. What things do you have planned for the week that will take deliberate action from you?

I love your pictures! We don't see much snow/sleet or ice here in the deep South!

Have a good one!

Good morning,
We couldn't see the eclipse here, it was overcast. Lovely picture of the moon you have posted.

I just made myself a list for the next two days & then I come here. Wow, just what I'm thinking.

Really "be there" for my husband & daughter, get the house in order and count my blessings each day, be in the moment!

Here's to getting important things done on a continuing basis.

Love your thoughts! I ALWAYS have a list; however, I am going to be deliberate in being "joyful"! Hope that your week is an awesome one!

My list is too long. I guess I'll probably just do like I usually do... just barrel in there and "do the next thing"!

Pretty candles! I love that sense of peace and tranquility that a flickering candle bestow a room. And yes—spring is finally in the air. I’m so ready to be out in my garden, bath in sun…. Oh, human Beings, indeed all sentient beings, have the right to pursue happiness!

Blessings to you!

Rachel...Could you help me out, please? Cielo left a comment on my blog and I wanted to return one to her site...when I double click on her name, it doesn't show her site. Do you know her blog name? If so...I'd appreciate it! Thanks a bunch...

Ronda, I tried to email you, but that didn't work. Sorry. Maybe "blogger" just isn't feeling like helping us out today!! Cielo is "The House in the Roses" on my blog list. I'm pretty sure it will take you into her blog if you click there. Let me know if it doesn't. I hope that helps. Have a great day. It's neat to hear from you! xo Rachel

It's snowing here as I write! Hopefully the last big storm before Spring. Our neighbors have icicles from the gutters nearly to the ground! I'm ready for Spring!! Beautiful post. Blessings... Polly

Speaking of time passing, I don't think I have seen your blog since Sunday! Wow! Time has flown!

I have been working on lots of to-dos. Calling the painter to discuss getting my son's room painted, sending off some mail, preparing a birthday card for my grandma...plenty more to do before the week is through!
