Focus!

Christmas is over! Do you have your decorations taken down and put away? Now I'm excitedly looking for Spring. I can tell it is staying daylight a tad bit longer each day. I learned to observe that fact from my mother. Today is her birthday. She is timeless in my mind, though she is gone from my physical presence.
This week I am using the word "focus" to guide me in my to do list. We've had some curve balls thrown in and some changes in plans, so since it is Wednesday, maybe I need to re-evaluate the list and see how I am doing?
How are you doing?
I hope you are wonderful!
Love, Rachel

Hi,
What must it be like to be with Jesus on your birthday? I know Mother is walking tall today.
My Christmas decorations are still up. I got them up late so will enjoy them a little longer.
I try each day to keep my focus more on Jesus and His leadings.
Have a wonderful day.
Love you, Donnie

Hi Rachel,
My tree is still up! I'm slowly putting things away but it is alot of work! I really hate to take the tree down. I will miss the sparkle and the soft glow of the lights.
I miss my father, especially this time of year. He was the one who put the magic in Christmas when I was growing up. Thank God for our parents; they are all special and unique. And the Lord placed each one of us in our particular family because in His wisdom, He knew it was the best place for us. May He comfort your heart today with your wonderful memories. Have a wonderful day in Him!

Blessings,
Sandi

Most of my decoration are down now. It will be awhile before I do anything too springy. Curve balls - thankfully Our Lord knows how to meet them and will help you meet each one.

Hi Rachel,
How wonderful you have those loving times and special thoughts of your mom living in your heart with you each and every day! You speak so sweetly about her and I'm positive knowing you that you carry very many one of her traits along with you with style and a true heart.

My Christmas tree is still up and the rest of the house is torn apart too as we switch offices... in other words, it's a mess but will get straightened with joy soon enough (I hope!)... Focus here too.
Lots of love, Tracie

I'm so sorry your dear mother is not here with you Rachel. I can imagine how much you miss her. I think focus is a really good word for me too. I would do so much better if I'd focus more.

Sorry that your Mother is not with you. You have a lovely take on January. I always feel like it's such a boring time of year, but it is a wonderful time to clean, refresh, get organized and look forward to spring! :)
