Checking A Theory!

Teenage Prince said he read or heard if you cut through 6 or 8 layers of aluminum foil, it would sharpen your scissors. I found the evidence that he checked that theory out.
Hey, where is that guy? Did it work? I need to go find out!
Have you ever heard of this? Or have you tried it?
Maybe that could be a weekend project.
Happy Friday!
Love, Rachel

Hi Rachel, I've tried that, too, and the sandpaper trick. I felt that they didn't work that well. I got a little tool (scissor sharpener tool) at Wally world for $5.00 that works really well! You put the scissors through it about 4 or 5 times and they come out really sharp! You can find it in the knife section. Works every time! Have a happy day!

I think I can guess which Prince---could it be the duct tape artist?

I have never tried this. I shall do it and let you know. I have a very dull pair of scissors. Kids are so funny. They leave evidence everywhere. Enjoy your day. Kathi

I know it works great on craft punches. I have used that technique several times. Love the evidence! LOL! :)

My comment is for your last post, I love friends like that too. We had a little food with us the other day and had a longing to see a particular friend, we dropped by, she was just laying dinner on the plates and between us we had enough. we sat at the table and talked for ages, they were so glad we just did decided to drop in.

I've heard of it but never tried it. Sandpaper is suppose to work also (never tried that). I guess I have a lot of dull scissors around here :-)!

Yes, I've heard of it and tried it and it works pretty good. I also sharpen my paper cutter by cutting wax paper!

Hey Rachel, i have heard this, but my husband says he will sharpen my scissors, so I don't know if it works or not. Did you register for the valentine bracelet?

Well..it COULD work. I know I won't try it with my sewing sissors that I cut my material with but I might just give a try with the old ones in the drawer. I'm always game to try something like that. I loved the "show and tell." :)
