That's so cute! Here's my tip: cut an apple in half, then use a melon baller to scoop out the part with the seeds. Easy-peasy! (Oh...and fill the 'hole' you just made with peanut butter for a yummy snack!)

I love Mary Engelbreit anything. I love her colors, so cherry and bright. Household tip, now that's a tough one. Here's one for all those hockey moms with those stinky hockey bags of their sons (and daughters). Put fabric softner sheets in the bag to help with the awful odor.

My household tip is for cleaning windows, glass, mirrors, etc. without chemicals. Simply wash the surface with a damp terrycloth towel and then buff it dry with a microfiber cloth. There will be no streaks. I would love to be entered in your giveaway.

I love Mary Englebreit! So cheery! My house cleaning tip is: Do your least favorite chore first...get it out of the way...makes the rest of the housework more enjoyable...and will go by quicker.

What a fun way to get a lot of tips! My tip is to not wait until I have time to complete a task before beginning it. Instead, work 5 minutes on it until time to dash out the door, between appointments, etc. A lot can be accomplished in little spots of time that often get wasted.

A household tip, huh? It would be helpful if I were actually on top of things right now. It's bad timing to admit it, but my best household tip is

Her system is 100% free & revolutionized my house (since 2004). Except right now. But your tea towel would motivate me out of my rut! I love Mary Engelbreit.

Spritz your counters with vinegar and hydrogen peroxide (one after the other, not together) to clean instead of using chemicals. It works great and is safer for little ones around the house.

Very cute towel. Thank you!

Hire a maid

Karin said...

The person who said "Hire A Maid"... That was funny! LOL Well, I also use denture cleaning tablets for cleaning out coffee and tea stains in mugs--but someone said that. Another thing if you have sticky glue residue from stickers/price tags on glassware-- you smear a little peanut butter on it and let it sit for a while- then later you should be able to rub the peanut butter and the residue off-- and then wash it, of course.
Cute tea towel. Love the picture of the porches. I'm a sucker for old houses!
Thanks for the giveaway!

I am having a hard time coming up with anything that seems worthy of mentioning, but here are a couple:

I like to do a load of laundry on the day company is coming, because I love how it makes the house smell.

The thought of keeping a planner stresses me out for some reason. Instead, we have two calendars up. One has only people's birthdays, so I can tell at a glance who I need to get cards/gifts for that month. The other has every single thing scheduled that month and the times. When someone calls to ask if we can do something, it's nice to just walk over and glance at the calendar to see if it will work.

I love ME stuff! I have all of her alphabet letters, one of her outdoor flags, and her set of three canisters for flour etc. among other things.

Helpful household hint huh? From a disorganized housekeeper? I could say to lock the baby up so that stuff will stay where I put it, but I am sure that would not work.

How about Mean Green? I love Mean Green! It takes off all kinds of things, grease, soap scum, clothing stains. I get it at Dollar General.

Now will you count me in?

Have a box to put stuff that go out to the car. That way you can just grab the box and if and when you pass by a place you had wanted to go to you would have the item you wanted.

I hope that made sense.

Thank you for having this great Give-a-way.

Cute tea towel! Great Tip**
Use your hair conditioner to shave your legs. It's a lot cheaper than shaving cream and leaves your legs really smooth. Plus, you use up the conditioner you bought but didn't like when you tried it in your hair. Thanks for the giveaway!

We have a rule that has helped us to keep clutter down - work = ownership! This works two ways - 1. If it is not used frequently it goes. 2. If it is not kept put away when not in use it goes to a pound where it costs a quarter to get it back. Keeps our home clutter free! ( :

Great tea towel! My tip is to unplug items, not just turn them off when not in use. This really will save you even more money.

My household tip? Need your home to smell more fragrant and less like you have two children in diapers (hi!)? Take a small sauce pot, put in cinnamon (sticks if you have them), whole cloves and orange peels (or any combination of the three) fill nearly to the brim with water and put on a back burner for a slow simmer. Your house will soon be smelling absolutely wonderful... until the next stinky diaper, at least!

Thank you for your giveaway!

I wish I had such a romantic porch! I'd sit out there all the time for tea with friends. my tip: clean the coffee pot (and tea pot) once a month with vinegar- it keeps the pots sparkling clean!

and I keep an empty tissue box on top of th dryer to collect lint from the trap so it stays contained and is easily thrown out when full.

thanks for the chance to win the M.E. tea towel

If you have a problem with your cat not making it to the litter box - ok, purposely using the corner just to spite you - boil some lemongrass in water, put it in a spray bottle and spray the affected area. It smells pleasant and the cat will not want to go there again.
