So Happy!

...solid oak, dovetailed drawers...
...a rescued treasure with cheery, chippy old blue paint...

...clean, fresh and happy, holding freshly starched vintage linens...

...they're so happy! so am I!...
What have you rescued lately?
Love, Rachel

I love how you kept the vintage feel of this bureau, but also gave it a fresh coat of paint to brighten it up! So pretty - especially for its application of holding linens.

Hi Rachel,
Nice rescuing! I love the cheerfulness of this piece. Haven't rescued anything for a while myself... I am walking down to a yard sale tomorrow though to look for hidden treasure!
Happy weekend,

Well...I have been considering looking for something to restore. But I'm new to the restoring business. Ok, Ok, I've never restored anything in my life. But I love shabby chic, so....I am currently on hunt for something small and simple that I can restore easily and will look adorable in my house. But I may have to wait until the first Wednesday of the month. In my city they pick up the large trash the first Thursday of every month, so people take their old furniture out on Wednesday. Still, I am keeping an eye out already for my treasure. I love your bureau. It looks really good. That's probably a larger project that I can handle, but you're a real pro! Besides, I have a little car, I can't fit a large piece of furniture in it. Ok, enough chitchat, I'm not leaving you a message, I'm leaving you a whole newspaper to read! lol
