Just Checkin' In

I'm still dusting and fluffing!
I have a few other things to add and then mark off of my "To Do List" that happened along the way yesterday. One of them is hanging the hummingbird feeder.
I don't usually hang it until later in April, but I wondered if the birds would come earlier than usual if I hang it sooner. It still seems too cold for the tiny creatures, but who knows they may be up in our tree tops wondering where the "goods" are and why I'm not feeding them.
How early do you hang your hummingbird feeder?
Love, Rachel
P.S. I can't wait to show you what Mr. Romantic and the kiddos have been doing! I'll show you in a couple of days.

Hi Rachel,
I can tell you there won't be any humming birds flitting around my home for a while yet! We are getting another snow stormy day; high winds and all! Yuck! Here's to hoping for warmer Spring days & humming birds! Have a lovely day.

Blessings,
Sandi

Hi Rachel,
You sure have a long list of things to get done! Whew, you go girl! I need to get on my cleaning, my mum is coming for a visit in two weeks. I have been sewing and gardening. I just bought a hummingbird feeder and put it out. I was wondering the same thing, when do the little guys show up? I also put up a feeder with seed and boy, has it been popular! We are enjoying seeing different birds than what we were used to. Hope you have a successful day and don't forget to stop for a cuppa tea! Happy Spring and God bless you and yours. Hugs, Victoria Lynn

Can't wait to see what the family has been up to!

I don't have a feeder, the hummingbirds love my Fuschias though and I love watching them from my romantic porch. They start showing up in April, and that is just around the corner, maybe warmer weather is too!

Bless you,
Donna Lynn

Oh, where do you live? I too will be anxious to see how soon they arrive for you. Ours usually don't appear until May. Last year we had nearly ZERO bees, no ants & very few hummingbirds. I hope you will pop over & join me & my new blog of one week. TTFN ~ Marydon

I love hummingbirds, but I've never had a feeder. I can't afford to buy one right now, so I found a link to make really easy ones here: http://www.ehow.com/how_2243342_hummingbird-feeder.html I think I'll be making some very soon!

We are lucky enough to be on the west coast where we can leave our humming bird feeders up year round! They freeze once or twice a year but otherwise those little birds drink them dry just about every week all year long. I'd put it out as soon as the weather is sunny...if they are hungry they will find it!

Hi Rachel~ your pictures are so cheerful!! Yes- it is starting to be a little more spring-like outside the window. Yay! I'm on spring break this week so I can appreciate your "to do list"...mine is super long. I put stuff on it as I do it so I can cross it off- lol! Have a nice day

Hi Rachel,
Go to www.hummingbirds.net and you can watch their migration to the north. Scroll down to the U.S. map. I'm in northeast Indiana so I have to wait a bit for their arrival.
Love your blog!

Ohhhh, I loving your yard...bicycle against a white picket fence and the wrought iron behind the wooden fence...charming! It will look even prettier when everything green is in bloom:-)
