A Week of Love

Hey these cookies look pretty good to be a year old. Don't they!? I found the picture from last year, and it reminded me that I want to try a new recipe this year...I need to pull that out and make it...just to see if we like it as much as this recipe!
A few days ago little princess asked me if I was going to make the bread and meat shaped like a heart. "What?" I thought. She said, "You know you do that every year!" Oh, do I? Well, I guess I do now.

the things we do for our kids

I LOVE Valentine's Day. It's probably my favorite holiday. I really haven't figured out why. Hhmmm...maybe I should figure that out this year.

I know there is so much emphasis on having the love of someone special in your life, but I try to emphasize the little things that show love to others whether it is romantic love or not. I know I must be healthy emotionally, socially, spiritually to love others the way they deserve to be loved.
Each day is a new day to start fresh and love others.

Gotta go bake cookies! See ya!
Love, Rachel

And that's the way family traditions get started! Do something fun once for the kids... they love it and remember it... and suddenly you're doing it "every year"!

Have a "love"ly day!

What a fun, happy post! There's lots of love floating around in your house - and it often floats right out your doors into the lives of others!

Have a happy 'week of love!'

Hi Rachel..
What a good Mom you are! :) It is obvious to me that you know what real love is all about. A very nice entry!
Before I go..I hopped over (well, ok, I "clicked" over to your "A Romantic Porch Boutique" and it was not there. Have you removed it? If you have I am sure that somewhere in your blog you have told something about it.
Perhaps I am the only one, and I know my eyesight is not what it used to be, but I am having the very worst time reading your side bar. Is it at all possible to darken it someway? :) If not, I just thought I would ask.
I love porches also and don't want to miss a single thing. :)

Heart sandwiches, cute idea!

I also like Valentine's Day, I think because it is so much easier than Christmas with less pressure, etc. I think you are the first person I've ever heard say Valentine's Day is your favorite holiday, I like that! Most people say Christmas is, and I've often wondered why they say that, when it means so much work, ETC!! LOL!
