We Will Never Forget

September 11, 2001

I'd just dropped our sons off at school.

My cell phone buzzed. My sister Esther, ~ "Have you heard?"

"NO!"

I called Philip!

"Have you heard?"

"NO!"

Immediately we were glued to the news.

Time seemed to stand still. Our hearts were broken.

I will always remember.
I will continue to live this moment with intention.
I will look toward the future.

Do you remember?

Love, Rachel

  7. Yes. Both my cousins were at The Pentagon and thank God they both turned out to be alright. I didn't hear from my cousin that is like a brother to me for three long days. Unfortunately, things will never be the same...

  8. Rachel, I remember I had the news on very early in the morning. I saw live footage as there was a tiny bit of smoke coming from the first tower hit. They were calming talking and saying that, "apparently a small aircraft accidentally hit the building." I stood there watching in disbelief as the events took place right in front of me on the screen. It was earth shaking. Hugs, Kathi

Thank you so much for taking time to leave a comment. It is sorta like a sweet visit on the porch. In this busy world with so many places to go and things to do, I value the time you spend here with me.
