Cielo's Garden Party and Our Flirting Bench!

Cielo from "A House in the Roses" has invited us to share our gardens. If you click on her blog name, it will take you to her link. From there you can tour gardens all over the world.

Since we've been working on restoring the original clap board siding on our old home, I have created my own garden right on "A Romantic Porch". Summer just isn't Summer without flowers. I hope you enjoy seeing how I've created my own place of nature without flower beds this year.
Every romantic porch needs a "flirting bench". Two sweet little nieces found a bench in a National Park, and called it a "flirting bench", so an idea was born in my mind that we needed one here at "A Romantic Porch". There it is draped in its' soft whiteness.

Vining Geranium and Hydrangea, are a beautiful combination.
The shelf serves as a great window box under the faux window.
A touch of fresh cheery yellow goes a long way in boosting the spirit. Thank you for visiting my garden.

Have a wonderful Summer.

Thank you Cielo, for this beautiful tour of gardens around the world.
Love, Rachel

  2. Awww... it's a flirting bench? Yeah, I b'lieve we need to carry out the new "tradition" in our "garden", too! After all, the "original" flirting bench is 3 or 4 hours away.

    Your "garden" looks great!

  3. Hi Rachel,
Just beautiful. I love the flirting bench in such calm surroundings. May I come visit a while and we can talk and have some tea? Then you can come over to my cottage for lunch.

The blooms are beautiful - have a sweet weekend.

Thank you so much for taking time to leave a comment. It is sorta like a sweet visit on the porch. In this busy world with so many places to go and things to do, I value the time you spend here with me.
