Happy first day of Spring everyone!
Just in case you're all excited and thinking that I'm showing you my beautiful bounty of Spring flowers, I will let you down slowly and tell you that I'm so anxious to see flowers blooming, that I went back into our OLD pictures and found these beauties!
In my lifetime, the first day of Spring has never so closely coincided with Easter. People who follow the cycle of the Moon, and other acts of nature say it never will be this early, in my lifetime again, so I will enjoy this special occurrence.
Look closely, I think she stuck in her thumb and pulled out...why yes, it really is...SPRING!!
Celebrate everyone, break out into a happy dance, and while you're dancin' that happy jig, let me know what fun things you plan to do for Easter.

I'm planning on coming to your house. Yippee :-) I'm going to bring something besides chocolate for dessert (imagine that) since it is Spring and things should be pastel colors. ha
ReplyDeletePretty spring flowers! We are just the two of us for Easter this year....but I will make the traditional ham, scalloped potatoes, baked beans, deviled eggs, etc...

This is really cute! I love the thumb in the egg, especially the way children will just sit and ponder what just happened. Too sweet!

Happy first day of spring! I LOVED your pictures! Those of your "little one" with the eggs are just too cute! We will celebrate with family...a Sunday dinner pitch-in! I always enjoy this time of the year...

Well, I'll probably be "out in the garden a'weedin" or some such thing! With spring comes weeds. With birdseed comes little plant sprouts that must be pulled up. Don't you just love spring?

HI RACHEL, THOSE FLOWERS ARE SO SPRING. THE LAST TIME EASTER WAS MAR. 23 WAS IN 1913, SO THIS IS A RARE YEAR. LOVE THE PICTURES OF THE LITTLE ONE. KEITH
