Sweet Cherub and A Tiny Bit of Soap!

If I live each day with my hands open and outstretched, I can give love and receive love. BUT if I keep my hands tightly closed, clenching desperately to hang on to what I have and keep what is rightly mine, then that is all I will ever have...just what is rightly mine, and that slowly slipping away with the passage of time. What a miserable existence. The outstretched-hands-way-of-life sounds a lot more fun!
On a lighter note...I'm still trying to learn this picture thing, and the one at the very top (supposed to be here) is in honor of my LOVE for high heels. Well yes...I do wear then every day, don't you? Oh, I thought everyone did. My sweet friend Diane, thought of me when she saw this "high heel" soap dispenser and I love it. Carol, the beautiful vintage hankies were from the collection you gave me of your mother's. Thank you so much dear friends. I love them both, and they look awesome in the... um...powder room!

  3. The bible study I just completed called it "palms up living". Being completely surrendered to the will of God. Very good.

  4. Martha, How cool. Haven't heard of that bible study.

What a beautiful though, "living with open hands". I know that is not just a thought from you, you do live that way.

  8. Beautiful pictures of the powder room...Mother thought of you the minute she saw that high-heeled boot! I don't ever recall seeing you without high-heels on, come to think of it! I think that puts you in the "very feminine" category!(smile)I love it! And You ARE a very caring person! Have a wonderful day!

  9. Rachel, I would say you live a fun life then, because your hands are always open and helping someone else! That is one of the things that makes you so special!

  11. Thanks for sharing that beautiful thought today.

About the high heels--I think they are pretty, but I prefer wearing tennis shoes or my Crocs! My feet don't like heels! LSH

  12. Hi Rachel,
I love that high heel soap dispenser! So cute. I'm afraid the high heels are a thing of the past with me! I'm all about comfort in my old age!! lol

Your "outstretched hands" sentiment is so true and you seem to live your life this way, a giving and caring person.

I'm try to catch up after my short hiatus. Feels like months!! I'm hoping to be back posting tomorrow.

    Hugs,
    Hope

  15. Ronda, Several people who don't have blog accounts, have just clicked the "Nickname" button, and put their name there before clicking "Publish Your Comment". I had trouble figuring out how to do it, when I didn't have a blog account, and wouldn't comment. Then a few weeks ago, I found out you could do it that way. Maybe that will help.

  16. I like that saying, I had just heard something like it a few weeks ago, but didn't write it down, now I can!

Cute shoe, I have one similar that has lemon chello in it (came from Italy.) I wore heels daily when I worked, now my feet are ruined and I can't wear them :-(

When I'm composing my blog pictures, etc. I right click on the photo, (to highlight) then go up to edit, and click on copy, or cut, and then go down to where I want the picture to be, and paste. It works! I hope it makes sense to you and helps!

Thank you so much for taking time to leave a comment. It is sorta like a sweet visit on the porch. In this busy world with so many places to go and things to do, I value the time you spend here with me.
