  5. My first thought was a snowball, then when I enlarged it, I thought it was a crystal(the kind you hang in a window to catch the sun)--some make incredible rainbows! Is it an ice cube?

    I like Donnie's answer-a diamond.

Rachel-you are one "talented jewel" of a woman. Love, Linda

  6. My guess is the same as Mother's. I think it's an antique glass door knob.

  10. Rachel, given that you and your family live in a home that was built one hundred and four years ago--a time when household fixtures were what we consider antiques, I'll take a guess on the mystery object: an out-of-focus glass door knob. Trying to keep from "skidding in sideways" too early, I am Ray! Great blog.

  17. Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary,
Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore-
While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.
"'Tis some visitor," I muttered, "tapping at my chamber door-
"It is Daniel," he says "let me in, it's snowy out here and the door knob is missing!"

  18. Poor Daniel! I hope he gets his door knob back soon!
